ChatGPT agents move into the workspace

OpenAI announced workspace agents in ChatGPT, powered by Codex and intended to automate processes across workplace tools. Cloud execution allows a task to continue beyond an individual’s active chat session.

Context

Team settings introduce questions of ownership: who requested the work, which information is available, and who accepts the result? Effective automation keeps those boundaries visible. Otherwise, time saved during execution can be lost when colleagues reconstruct an unexpected change or discover that an agent worked with the wrong context.
